Welcome to Exceptional Student Services (ESS)

An Introduction from our new ESS Director:

I am Amanda Maxwell. This is my 22-year working fulltime for Parker Unified School District. I taught special education for 5 years where I was awarded both Teacher and Educator of the Year at Wallace Junior High. I served as principal, also at Wallace Junior High, for 16 years. Teachers and I worked hard to support students both academically and socially. Wallace Junior High maintains a B grade for academic achievement. On the social front, we built competitive football, soccer, track, golf, and girls’ softball programs and continued to successful volleyball, basketball, and cheer programs.  Many academic clubs including National Junior Honor Society, Student Council, Lego League, and Teen Solutions provided students with support in their social needs. I have actively been involved with PAACE (Parker Area Alliance for Community Empowerment) since 2010 and currently serve as the Board President.

I am excited about my new position as Exceptional Student Service Director for Parker Unified School District. I look forward to learning new things and working on new challenges.

Sincerely,

Amanda Maxwell
