My name is Jose R. Diaz, not to be confused with Jose L. Diaz, my father, or Jose L. Diaz Jr, my brother. I am 18 years old and I’ve lived in the bustling city of Parker, Arizona, my whole life. Being at Parker High School has been such a blessing because I’ve learned and grew so much both academically and personally. I’ve made a few achievements throughout my high school career in academics, sports, and personal life. I’ve achieved an above average gpa that puts me in the top 20 in my class. I am the vice president of the Skills USA club and am also a member of FCCLA and also was a previous active member of FBLA and interact club. Apart from my scholarly achievements, I’m also very proud of my sports career in both wrestling and football. I also dabbled in baseball my first two years of high school. I was a two year varsity athlete in football and four year varsity athlete in wrestling. I am most proud of my wrestling because it is something I love. I am a three time sectional finalist, two time sectional champion, and achieved 5th place in the state. Apart from academics and sports, I’ve also made and learned who real people are, who good people are, and who not so great people are. I’m happy that I’ve been blessed with good friends. I also feel very blessed that I get along with most people in school. After highschool, I will be attending a welding apprenticeship program in Phoenix. I will also learn real estate outside of work to pursue a longer career. I’m very thankful for my family for supporting me and helping me throughout my whole life, my friends for teaching me valuable life lessons, and above all I’m most grateful for the Lord.
