Welcome to our school district.

It is my pleasure to begin my 20th year in the Parker Unified School District as the Assistant Superintendent. I began my first experience in education at Parker High School in 1987 teaching social studies and serving as the head varsity wrestling coach. After eight years in the classroom and acquiring my principal’s certification, I spent my ninth year serving as the interim-assistant principal of Wallace School (grades 4 – 8). The following two years I served as the athletic director and assistant principal of Parker High School. During this tenure, I had met wife Vikki who now serves as the Director of Exceptional Student Services in the district. We have been married 26 years and have two children (Caitlin and Michael). Caitlin graduated five years ago (class of 2014), and Michael graduated four years ago (class of 2015). Both Vikki and I are proud to say they are alumni of Parker High School.

This is now my 33rd year in education, and my 25th year as a school administrator. In the spring of 2011, I was offered the opportunity to return to Parker High School where my career began. We had left Parker to return to family in the Midwest. I would be much remiss if I did not share that I just could not shake that sense of allegiance to the school of my very first students (now parents of students at P.H.S.), wrestlers, colleagues, and mentors (department chair and school administrators).

Please know I feel very privileged to again be a part of Parker community and Parker Unified School District that provided me so much as a new educator and as a young man just starting out. I have the fondest memories of community members and school personnel that gave me their time and friendship when so much was new to me. During these past eight-plus years it has been my goal to give back to all of you, and to now serve in a district-wide position. Also please know, I practice an open-door policy, and you are invited to visit me or contact me should you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Paul W. Olson
