Facilitator:
Mr. Jim Cleere, Art Teacher
This session's focus intelligences:
Objective:
- Introduce student created DVDs
and suggestions for implementation.
Procedure:
- Show teachers a sample of a
student created DVD
- Suggest variety of ways DVDs can
be used - instructional,
presentation, projects...
- Introduce Windows Movie Maker
- Provide teachers with time to
practice using Windows Movie Maker with their
peers and facilitator.
Summary of teachers response to this lesson:
Teachers responded positively to the ideas presented
in this session. There were some questions about the
availability of technologies necessary to implement this
in the classroom. At the present time we have only about
10 DVD players on campus, but we have a new video system
that we are currently implementing at our school and
will make it easier for teachers to use DVDs in the
classroom. In addition, I ordered some additional
cameras that teachers can check out from the library.
