1. A printed out paper of internet sites that you visited for research. (10pts.)
2. A biography and literary analysis of the author that you chose and one of their poems. (36pts.) 3. Three typed out poems of your own, written in a specific poetic category (sonnet, limerick, haiku, etc.) (24pts.) 4. The presentation to the class. (10 pts.)
5. Extra credit poetry slam. (20pts.) In all, the total points possible, without the extra credit, will be 80. i would suggest making a conscience effort in this project as there has been, nor will there be in the future, any assignment worth this many points. For those of you who are trying to pull out a passing grade; nail this, as well as participate in the final, and you will probably survive!!! |
