1. The British Times Herald has hired your group to create an editorial page in their newspaper.

2.  You and your group members of the Editorial Department must assign roles and responsibilities.  Each group member may have more than one role and responsibility during each phase of this project.   Examples of the responsibilities are:

                          A.  Editorial Page Editor
                          B.  Researchers (staff members at the paper) 
                          D.  Reporters (the lead researchers)
                          E.  Writers (staff members at the paper)

3.  The steps of the project are:

       1.  Step 1 - Organization:  assigning roles and
                               responsibilities (5 pts)
       2.  Step 2 - Research:  researchers and writers (5 pts)
       3.  Step 3 - Writing:  Writers (5 pts)
       4.  Step 4 - Editing: all group members will edit one another (5 pts)
       5.  Step 5 - Production and Printing:  Editorial Page  (20 pts)
                                 Editor and Deputy Editorial Page Editors 
 

  4.  Determine a time table for each phase of the project. The time table is based on the project's deadline. You will have 2 days of class time to complete this project. The majority of Friday and the second half day of Monday we will be in the library. This project will be due Thursday February 5th.

5. You will be graded according to the following rubric:
