Dear Parents,
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas break. It’s hard to believe our school year is half over!
Third grade students enjoyed a field trip on Dec. 21st and 22nd to the Phoenix Science Center and first grade had a “Christmas Around the World” experience on Dec. 22nd. Classrooms had lots of holiday fun!
The second and third grade MACRO Math Club program is going very well! Most students are doing their math homework booklets in a timely manner and are earning their prizes! Parents, thank you for your help and commitment to this program.
We have received * from the boxtops students bring in and over $500 from the Domino’s Pizza night. This money goes to fund student assemblies, prizes for attendance, classroom parties for Book It and other student items. Thank you for your great support!
Report cards will be sent home Wednesday, January 11th. If you have questions and concerns regarding your child’s academic progress, please contact the teacher. Your support and involvement makes a huge difference in your child’s education.
Blake completed quarterly testing in reading and math and most students are making excellent progress. The second quarter awards assembly will be held on Tuesday, January 17th at 9:50 am for kindergarten and first grade students and 8:50 am for second/third grade students. We always have a great turnout and appreciate your support.
Lastly, we continue to work to make Blake a positive learning environment and a safe campus for all students. Please don’t hesitate to call if you have a problem or concern. Your children are very important to us.
